Top-class Plenary Lectures on Opening Day

Professor Radermacher, of  Ulm University (DE), Head of the  Forschungsinstitut für anwendungsorientierte Wissensverarbeitung (Research Institute for Application-oriented Knowledge Processing), Member of the Club of Rome,  will address the subject of “Globalisation, Sustainability, Future – is there still hope for us?“

Mr. Buisson, Veolia Water Technologies (US), will report on prospects for “Innovative Fibres and Textiles in the Field of Water Management“, and Dr. Meierkord , the President of the European Man-Made Fibres Association CIRFS (BE), will present a paper on the “Contribution of Man-made Fibres to the Balanced Use of Global Resources“.

Dornbirn-MFC lecture block at Techtextil Frankfurt

The lecture block on 09 May 2017 at the Techtextil symposium to the topic “Fiber industry geared to sustainability and resource management“ and the high-calibre “panel discussion“ on the very challenging topic  “Performance and sustainability“ – a contradiction?“ were a great success. A high attendace by Techtextil visitors could be achieved. Interesting questions were discussed intensively. The cooperation with the Techtextil will be intensified.

Congress was a great success in 2016

More than 700 participants from 34 nations took part at this year`s Dornbirn-MFC event. Compared to last year the participation numbers could be increased over 10%. Particular attention may be given to countries like Malaysia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Ghana or Belarus. USA, Japan, Korea and China were represented by big delegations.

Over 60 new companies coming from the whole textile processing chain could be welcomed in Dornbirn.  The congress participants could listen to 107 interesting expert lectures during the 2 ½ days, coming from the industry side by 50% and further 50% were presented by academic research.  The new CEO panel on the opening day as well as the Functional & Sportive panel on the last day achieved high interest.
